The Book of T, Volumes I and II by Edward W. Leahy
The Book of T, Volumes I and II by Edward W. Leahy
A book on Taxe (T) markings, these markings were used to identify underpaid or unpaid mail after the UPU came into being. A monumental effort, the author lists and describes all the known “T” marks of the World (including India and Indian TPOs) in 14 chapters. He illustrates each mark and identifies their dates and place of usage. How this system worked is also dwelt upon. Each book contains around 180-220 pages. A rare set useful to the postal historian puzzled with the “T” markings. Published posthumously by the author’s wife in 1999.
Bound in plastic and card wraps. In Very Fine condition with no writings or markings.
