Haverbeck was arguably the greatest collector of Indian feudatory states. Apart from Indian states, he was also interested in the stamps of Nepal and Tibet on which he has written standard works. He was a signatory on the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists (RDP), the highest award in philately.

This auction of Haverbeck’s exceptional collection was conducted by Harmers of New York over 4 days in 1973 and contains 2087 lots! Especially strong in Bhopal, Bundi, Duttia, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur and Jammu & Kashmir.
